Typical age range: 3 months to 13 months
Teacher-to-child ratio: 1 teacher to 3 children
Overview: Thanks our 1 teacher to 3 children ratio, CEC’s Infant Program is able to accommodate the wide range of ages, starting at 3 months, and developmental stages, up to early walkers. Our goal is to create a warm, nurturing, and responsive atmosphere for infants while encouraging their exploration and social, cognitive, and physical development.
While the program is loosely structured, our teachers find opportunities for learning through art, singing, language repetition, mimicking infants’ sounds, and using words to describe objects. At the same time, teachers are trained to respond to infants as individuals with the same warm and nurturing contact—hugs, kisses, and holding—that the child receives at home.
